Marcella

Marcella is a young solo artist from Viljandi whose journey as a singer has been long despite her age. She is worth discovering for all music lovers who appreciate artists like Sade, Marju Kuut, or Lianne La Havas. After reaching the final of “Tähtede lava” (Stars’ Stage), Marcella won the Grand Prix award at the prestigious Estonian young singers’ competition, Solistica. She has studied and developed her talent for years under the tutelage of Hedi-Kai Pai. In addition to singing, she has also played the piano and the saxophone.

During her performances, Marcella’s unique vocal timbre, unexpected maturity, and subtle feeling for the material come to the fore. With this combination, she has charmed audiences both at singing competitions and while touring with a school band. Marcella’s repertoire includes jazz, bossa nova, and evergreen Estonian classics from our best composers and lyricists. She has now assembled a band of professional musicians around her, including Robin Mäetalu, the recent winner of the Tiit Paulus Young Guitarist Award.
